All of the jewellery products from Svanhilde have a three year warranty from the date of purchase. Please keep your order number, purchase receipt or bank statement for warranty purposes.

If you notice a defect or would like us to make changes to your jewellery in some way, please contact us using the Contact Us form or via email at info@svanhilde.com.

The product warranty covers any defects from manufacture or workmanship. The warranty does not cover normal wear from daily use of the jewellery piece, such as scratches, dents or marks. The warranty also does not cover damage caused by the customer such as dents from dropping the jewellery, or the loss/theft of the jewellery. We are not responsible for refunding or replacing the diamond in case it has been lost. We are also not responsible for any damage caused by third party repairs or other services. The warranty is no longer valid if the jewellery piece has been altered in some way by a third party, for example, a ring that has been resized or a jewellery piece has been repaired by a third party.

Diamonds which have fallen out of the jewellery piece will not be covered in the warranty if there are clear signs that the jewellery has been damaged by the customer, for example if there are bends, dents or clear signs of damage to the prongs that could only occur due to rough use.

Our jewellery is made from solid 14K or 18K gold, or platinum. Gold is a very durable and long lasting material, but it is important to take good care of your jewellery. We recommend taking off your rings when cooking, gardening, going to the gym, lifting heavy objects, or swimming. We also recommend that you store your all of your jewellery pieces in separate spaces, for example, in the original packaging box. When jewellery items are stored together they tend to get scratches more easily. We also recommend having your jewellery checked every few years. You can find more information and tips from our Jewellery Care Guide.

If you want extra protection in case of damage, loss or theft, you might want to consider insuring your jewellery through an insurance company.

In order for the jewellery to be covered by the warranty, the defect must have happened at the time of manufacture, and a copy of the purchase receipt must show that no more that 3 years have passed since the jewellery item was purchased from our company. Please keep receipts as they serve as proof of the warranty.

Our jewellery is handmade and there might be some small differences (which are not defects) between the jewellery items. Damage to the jewellery may be repaired for a reasonable fee depending on the damage, and a fee will be charged for the return shipping.

Upon acceptance of the delivery, the jewellery item shall be the sole responsibility of the customer. That means that the protection, insurance and care is your sole responsibility, and Svanhilde Jewellery Oy is not liable for any loss, theft or damage that may occur.
